PURPOSE: A universal joint for a vehicle steering device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the functions of element parts by improving rotating directional margin, stiffness, hole margin, and emotional quality. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for a universal joint for a vehicle steering device is as follows. A tube and a shaft material of the universal joint are cold-formed. The tube and the shaft material of the universal joint comprise a SCM415H tube or STKM13 shaft. And the molded materials are washed. A carbon carburization is enforced to the molded materials. The diameters of a shaft and a tube are increased than the conventional type and a ball contact part is set to allow rolling contact.
