<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by avoiding unnecessary input prediction processing. <P>SOLUTION: A character string input device according to the embodiment includes: an input processing part for inputting a character or a character string with a special code; a character string accumulation part for inputting the character or the character string with the special code, and adding the character to accumulated character strings or updating the accumulated character strings by the special code; an input prediction control part for controlling a timing for taking out and outputting at least a part of the accumulated character strings from the character string accumulation part; and an input prediction part for performing input prediction on at least the part of the accumulated character strings output from the input prediction control part and outputting a predicted character string. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
