<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal, a control method, and a program that can adjust brightness of display parts according to use modes of the portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal has a first housing with a first display part and a second housing with a second display part, which are openable and closable, and includes an illuminance sensor which detects ambient brightness of the portable terminal, brightness adjustment means of adjusting the brightness of the first display part and the second display part based upon the brightness detected by the illuminance sensor, a camera which is arranged in the second housing on the back side of the second display part, and photographs the circumference of the portable terminal, and control means of stopping the brightness adjustments of the display parts by the brightness adjustment means according to an image acquired by the camera. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
