<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized zoom lens having good focusing effect and good optical performance and to provide an electronic imaging apparatus including the lens. <P>SOLUTION: The zoom lens is characterized by being composed of: a first lens group having positive refractive power; a second lens group having negative refractive power; a third lens group having positive refractive power; a fourth lens group having positive refractive power; a fifth lens group having negative refractive power; and a sixth lens group having positive refractive power, in this order from the object side.
