<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video data recording device and recording method allowing writing, giving priority to an image quality, on the basis of the kind of imaging means and the kind of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The data recording device which records video data of a connected device on a recording medium is provided with: determination means for determining the structure of the folder and the format of a file of the imaging means; selection means for selecting a writing format to another recording medium on the basis of a determination result of the determination means; and start means for starting software for writing in a selected state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
