<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive deflector type ball screw that reduces noise by smoothly scooping up a ball using a deflector. <P>SOLUTION: A scooping up surface 19 of a deflector 9 is a concave curve having a curvature radius slightly larger than a radius of a ball 8 in a section perpendicular to a scoop-up direction of the ball 8. In addition, the concave curve is formed to scoop the ball 8 discharged from a ball rolling path 3 in a tangent line direction of a screw line.
