PURPOSE: An imaging device and a camera system thereof are provided to omit analog signal processing without decreasing the aperture ratio of pixels. CONSTITUTION: A pixel array unit(110) includes a photoelectric conversion element. A plurality of sense circuit units(120) receives an electric signal of a pixel. The sense circuit unit determines a photon incoming to the pixel for a fixed time for the second time. A determination result accumulated circuit unit(150) accumulates a plurality of determination results of the sense circuit for each pixel or each pixel group. The determination result accumulated circuit unit derives the photon incoming amount to a light receiving unit by photon counting. |
