SMALL-SIZED SUSTAINED RELEASE FORMULATION OF AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized sustained release formulation of ambroxol hydrochloride which is drinkable for an infant and elderly person whose swallowing function is degraded and guarantees effectiveness and safety as the sustained release formulation for once-a-day administration.

SOLUTION: There is provided a granule having at least a three-layered layer structure including: a core particle; the ambroxol hydrochloride coating the core particle; a first layer containing a disintegrator and a binder; a second layer containing water-insoluble polymer and water-solubule polymer; and a third layer containing the ambroxol hydrochloride and the binder.
