<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor and a method of manufacturing the same such that an outside surface of a rotor case is prevented from scratching, and an optical disk drive using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The motor includes a shaft which is inserted rotatably into a bearing, and the rotor case which is fixedly fastened to the shaft, and rotates together with the shaft, and the rotor case has a beveled part formed along an outer peripheral edge of a lower end surface. The rotor case preferably includes a rotor hub which is fastened to one end of the shaft, an extension part which is extended in an outer-diameter direction from the rotor hub, and a vertical extension part which is formed while extended vertically from an outer peripheral edge of the extension part to an axially lower part, and has the beveled part formed on the lower end surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
