The method involves pumping gaseous mixture into a rotor (2) of a centrifuge during centrifugation process. A refiner ensures that gas content and a mixture of gas components are reduced to zero during concentration. Pure gas components are passed into collecting chambers, and a light gas component is passed through a compression device in approximately same pressure without causing return flows or congestion. An inlet chamber for gas mixture is connected on one side of one of channels (40, 42, 43). A complete separation of gas mixtures is relatively low in heavy gas component. An independent claim is also included for a centrifuge comprising a rotor.
