METHOD FOR ASSISTING DETERMINATION OF MIGRATION DESTINATION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

At each migration of data, a management system accumulates, in history management information, information indicating migration history of migration of the data. The management system receives an input of a combination of attribute conditions, desired by a manager, of a storage device to which the data are to be migrated, determines all combinations of device attributes compatible with the combination of attribute conditions, and calculates a plurality of migration tendencies on the basis of each combination of device attributes and the history management information. The management system determines, from among the plurality of migration tendencies, a migration tendency to which the designated storage device belongs, the data being migrated from the storage device, and displays information indicating at least the determined migration tendency.
