<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container and a piston with which an appropriate amount of highly-viscous material such as dental material is supplied under low squeezing pressure, and which has a small dead volume while enhancing that separation of the supplied material does not occur too often. <P>SOLUTION: The container storing and discharging highly-viscous dental material has a housing which delimits an inner chamber. The housing and the inner chamber include a first section 2, a transition area 3 and an outlet nozzle 4. The inner chamber in the transition area is a taper which is continuously tapered toward a second edge part 32 thereof.
