PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress corrugation of a recording medium and achieve a high quality recording since an inkjet recording apparatus can evenly control application amount of a processing liquid to the recording medium.

SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus includes: an application roller (25) that applies the processing liquid to the recording medium; a counter roller (26) that faces the application roller; and an inkjet head that carries out recording to the recording medium. The inkjet recording apparatus that records images on the recording medium to which the processing liquid is applied between the application roller and the counter roller has a first guide part (51) that guides the recording medium to between the application roller and the counter roller, and the first guide part guides the recording medium toward the counter roller.
