<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the inexpensive production of an oxynitride fluorescent substance with high luminance efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The process for the production of the oxynitride fluorescent substance includes a step of mixing a compound represented by the general formula: (Sr, Eu)<SB POS="POST">2</SB>Si<SB POS="POST">5</SB>N<SB POS="POST">8</SB>, silicon nitride or silicon powder, and aluminum nitride, and then firing the mixture in a nitrogen atmosphere under high pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
