<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, with a conventional server device, a user cannot collect and use information on an electronic book browsed by the user and information on a terminal where the user is browsing the electronic book. <P>SOLUTION: An information system includes a terminal and a server device. The terminal includes: an electronic book storage unit for storing an electronic book; a reception unit for receiving browsing operation; a display unit for displaying the electronic book; a browsing information acquisition unit for acquiring browsing information; a terminal transmission unit for transmitting the browsing information to the server device; an additional information reception unit for receiving additional information from the server device; and an additional information output unit for outputting the received additional information. The server device includes: a management additional information storage unit for storing management additional information; a reception unit for receiving the browsing information from the terminal; an additional information acquisition unit for acquiring the additional information from the management additional information; and an additional information transmission unit for transmitting the additional information to the terminal.
