<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of image recording in a recording medium with high rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording device includes: an intermediate roller pair 51; a main conveying roller pair 54; a first drive motor 81 for driving the intermediate roller pair; a second drive motor 82 for driving the main conveying roller pair 54; and a control unit 18. The control unit 18 has a first conveyance mode for controlling the drive of the first drive motor 81 and the second drive motor 82 so that the conveyance amount of the recording medium 14 by the intermediate roller pair 51 is larger than the conveyance amount of the recording medium by the main conveying roller pair 54 and a second conveyance mode for conveying the recording medium only by the main conveying roller pair 54 while stopping the intermediate roller pair 51. The control unit 18 switches, after conveying the recording medium in the first conveyance mode, the mode to the second conveyance mode before the rear end of the recording medium in the conveying direction passes over the intermediate roller pair 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
