<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood sugar level sensor continuously detecting a blood sugar level with low invasion. <P>SOLUTION: An optical sensor 1 percutaneously detects information on the blood sugar level. A gel part 10 has a glucose-sensitive gel having glucose sensitivity, and stuck on the skin 4. The gel part 10 also includes a non glucose-sensitive gel supplying water to the glucose-sensitive gel. A detection part 11 optically detects a swelling degree of the glucose-sensitive gel by glucose penetrating through the skin 4.
