<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a vacuum cleaner which can estimate with high accuracy whether an exhaust port is closed when a cleaner body takes a posture of standing up with the exhaust port facing a floor. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 1 includes: the cleaner body 2 freely travelable on the floor; an electric blower 8 that is accommodated in the cleaner body 2 and generates a suction negative pressure; an exhaust part 36 having the exhaust port 35 that is provided to the cleaner body 2 and discharges the exhaust of the electric blower 8; a posture sensor 12 that detects the posture of the cleaner body 2; an illuminance sensor 37 that detects the illuminance on a side face on which the exhaust port 35 of the cleaner body 2 is arranged; and a body control part 9 that decreases the input of the electric blower 8 when the posture sensor 12 detects that the cleaner body 2 is in the posture with the exhaust port 35 facing the floor and also the illuminance sensor 37 detects the reduction in the illuminance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
