<p>Herbicidal haloacrylic acids These have the formula CX2=CX-COOR where X is halogen and R is H or a cation or naphthyl or phenyl opt. substd. by halogen or nitro, cyano, alkyl, haloalkyl, methylsulphonyl, alkoxyalkyl or carbonyl. Examples are beta-naphthyl or n-tolyl 2,3,3-trichloroacrylate or 2,3,3-trichloroacrylic acid. They are used with the usual carriers and can be applied in the solid, liquid or emulsion form for treating rice crops.</p> |
