The headrest (10) has a carrier element (12) over which the headrest is connected with a seatback of the seat. A cushion element (18) and a region (14) of the carrier element form legs of a U-profile. A pivotal axle (20) is provided at the carrier element, where the cushion element is pivotable around the pivotal axle against the carrier element. The cushion element comprises two impact elements (24, 26) supported at the pivotal axle, where crash energy of objects striking at the cushion element is introducible into the pivotal axle over the impact elements.
