PURPOSE: A cutting insert, a tool holder and an assembly for the same, which prevents the separation of a cutting insert from a tool holder are provided to supply enough cutting insert joining force to the tool holder. CONSTITUTION: A cutting insert has a first and a second groove. The first groove is expanded in the longitudinal axis of the tool holder. The second groove meets the first groove at a cross angle. The tool holder comprises a first and a second protrusions(14a,14b,15a,15b) and a threaded hole(13). The first and second protrusions are combined in the first and second grooves of the cutting insert with a line contact. The threaded hole is combined with a joining screw which passes through the center of the cutting insert.
