PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling an apparatus for selecting the grading of powder sintered ore and coke powder are provided to increase the efficiency of an apparatus for selecting the grading of powder sintered ore by reduction in the amount of the powder sintered ore which flows out through an overflow chute. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling an apparatus for selecting the grading of powder sintered ore and coke powder comprises a chute gate, a sensor unit, and a processor(106). The chute gate is installed in an outlet chute. The chute gate controls the charging of powder sintered ore or coke powder. The chute gate is formed of a hydraulic gate which can be opened and closed toward an overflow chute. The sensor unit senses the normal operation of the apparatus for selecting the particle size of the powder sintered ore or the coke powder. The processor controls the operation of the chute gate or a supply device.
