<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the position of an upper blade so that the upper blade and a lower blade are properly engaged by a device having a relatively simple structure in the slitter device shearing and dividing a band-shaped sheet into a plurality of strips by the engagement of the upper blade and the lower blade. <P>SOLUTION: The upper blade 2 is set at an engagement start position relative to the lower blade 1 by moving a tool post 4 corresponding to the upper blade 2 by a tool post feed mechanism 8, the upper blade 2 is advanced to an engageable position with the lower blade 1 by an upper blade holder 3, and then the tool post 4 is moved in an approaching direction of the upper blade 2 to the lower blade 1 by the tool post feed mechanism 8. The presence of electric conduction between the upper blade 2 and the lower blade 1 during the movement is constantly detected. When the electric conduction is generated between the both, the movement of the tool post 4 by the tool post feed mechanism 8 is stopped. A series of position changing steps of constraining the tool post 4 to a bar 25 extending parallel to an axial line of the lower blade 1 are sequentially executed for every upper blade whose position is desired to be changed after the bar 25 is set at a prescribed position relative to the lower blade. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
