<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering indium and tin, by which high purity indium and crude tin are recovered easily from agglomerates containing indium oxide and tin oxide. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for recovering In and Sn, ITO scrap abrasive powder is dissolved with hydrochloric acid, most part of indium and tin is dissolved in a filtering solution, the solution is filtered, and then a pH of the resulting filtrate is adjusted to ≥14, In is then recovered as indium hydroxide in a residue, the remaining tin is dissolved again in the solution, so that In and Sn in ITO are separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
