<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common voltage adjusting method and a liquid crystal display device for easily and accurately adjusting the balance of a common voltage in a dot inversion drive type liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A gradation signal V1 and a gradation signal V2 corresponding to different gradations are alternately applied to each display pixel along the horizontal direction of a display panel 100 to perform dot inversion drive, and the order of applying the gradation signal V1 and the gradation signal V2 is inverted for every two lines and for every field of the display panel 100. By performing display like this, when the common voltage VCOM is different from proper potential, the display panel 100 displays horizontal stripes. By adjusting the common voltage VCOM so that the horizontally-striped display on the display panel 100 is eliminated, the common voltage VCOM is adjusted to a proper value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
