<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device with a pixel structure that achieves a higher opening ratio without increasing the number of steps and masks, in which a pixel electrode, gate wiring, and source wiring are arranged in a pixel portion suitably. <P>SOLUTION: An EL display device comprises: a gate electrode and source wiring on an insulation surface; a first insulation layer on the gate electrode and the source wiring; a semiconductor layer on the first insulation layer; a second insulation layer on the semiconductor layer; gate wiring connected to the gate electrode on the second insulation layer; a connection electrode for connecting the source wiring and the semiconductor layer; and a pixel electrode connected to the semiconductor layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
