PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a mobile station device that can efficiently manage setting information retained in a base station device and mobile station device in a system having a plurality of component carriers.

SOLUTION: In a mobile communication system where a mobile station device and base station device perform communication by using a plurality of component carriers; the base station device notifies of paging for the mobile station device by only a first component carrier which is monitored by the mobile station device, and updates a system information element of a second component carrier by using a radio resource control signaling; and the mobile station device monitors paging by only the first component carrier and detects the update of the system information element of the second component carrier from the radio resource control signaling.
