<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slice image display ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus of a target object and a method thereof, which extracts a plurality of slice images from volume images obtained by scanning a cervical pellucid zone of a fetus, considers the slice image having a significant measuring value among those obtained by extracted each slice image as an effective slice image, and determines the presence or absence of Down syndrome by the measuring value. <P>SOLUTION: The slice image display ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus of the target object includes: an image scanning part for generating the volume images by scanning the target object including a measuring region; a measuring part for extracting n (n is a natural number) slice image with respect to the measuring region in the volume images and for determining a measuring value related to the measuring region in the each slice image; and a processor for selecting the effective slice image among the n slice image using the measuring value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
