<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor or the like which enables display with high appeal power even in a storage medium having a limited capacity. <P>SOLUTION: An information processor comprises: a storage medium communication unit which communicates with a storage medium; a display unit which displays, on a screen, storage medium information that the storage medium communication section receives from the storage medium; and internal storage means. The information processor acquires display information based on the storage medium information received from the storage medium, and determines whether the acquired display information is image information or not.
