<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite electronic component capable of sufficiently removing a steep current peak after the application of overvoltage. <P>SOLUTION: A composite electronic component of the present invention comprises an inductor part 54 and an overvoltage protection part 56. The overvoltage protection part 56 has an input-output side discharge electrode 3 and a ground-side discharge electrode 10 arranged to be spaced apart from the input-output side discharge electrode 3. If an inductor conductor 18 constituting the inductor part 54 has a specific resistance of ρ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and a cross sectional area of S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, the input-output side discharge electrode 3 has a specific resistance of ρ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and a cross sectional area of S<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and the ground-side discharge electrode 10 has a specific resistance of ρ<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and a cross sectional area of S<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, the following relationships hold true: ρ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>/S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>>ρ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/S<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and ρ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>/S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>>ρ<SB POS="POST">3</SB>/S<SB POS="POST">3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
