<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that suction noise occurs in an air cleaner intake pipe of a conventional structure when the air is sucked from an inlet port at the leading edge. <P>SOLUTION: An air cleaner 12 for feeding the filtered air to an engine E includes a supporting plate 15 for fixedly supporting the leading edge of a suction pipe 13 of the air cleaner 12. The air cleaner is structured such that the supporting plate 15 is disposed at a distance from the inlet port 14 at the leading edge of the air cleaner 12 and the inlet port 14 at the leading edge is covered from the outside. In addition, the supporting plate 15 includes a fixed position holding member 17 for securing a certain clearance to prevent the leading edge of the suction pipe 13 from being blocked.
