<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure accurate detection of a stopper position of a pointer. <P>SOLUTION: An indicator for vehicle includes: a step motor M having field windings 32, 33 and rotated by application of a drive signal, which changes in accordance with an electrical angle, to the field windings 32, 33; an indicator 20, by interlocking rotation with the step motor M, indicating a vehicle state value displayed with a zero value as a reference in accordance with a rotation position and returning to a zero position indicating the zero value by rotation to a return-to-zero direction X; a stopper mechanism S stopping the indicator 20 which rotates to the return-to-zero direction X at a stopper position within a prescribed range from the zero position to the return-to-zero direction X; and a control unit 50. As control processing for variably controlling the electrical angle of the drive signal, the control unit 50 executes return-to-zero control processing for rotating the indicator 20 to the return-to-zero direction X, as a result of which an induced voltage V generated in the field windings 32, 33 exceeds a threshold value Vth (S104) and then the control unit 50 starts detection of the stopper position (S105). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
