摘要 The present invention relates to a rolling bearing for rotatively mounting a machine element, comprising a sensor (02; 03) for measuring a mechanical load acting on the rolling bearing. The rolling bearing can be a wheel bearing of a motor vehicle, for example, or the bearing of a gearbox shaft. The rolling bearing comprises a first bearing ring and a second bearing ring, which can be rotated with respect to the first bearing ring. A bearing inner space, which has at least one first axial section in which rotatable rolling elements are arranged, is formed between the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. The rolling bearing according to the invention comprises at least one sensor (02; 03) for measuring a mechanical load acting on the rolling bearing, in particular for measuring a force or a torque, or a physical variable derived from a force or a torque, for example an angular momentum or mechanical tension. According to the invention, the sensor (02; 03) is arranged in a second axial section of the bearing inner space.
