<p>The invention relates to an image projection system, with a database (2) for storing and retrieving multidimensional data of an organ, a limb or any other part of a human body and/or models thereof, a navigation system (4, 4.1, 4.3, 40) for determining positional data reflecting the relative placement of an image projector (3) and the organ, limb or other part of the human body, and a rendering engine (5) for generating rendered image data based on the multidimensional data and/or models thereof and positional data, wherein the image projector (3) is arranged to project the rendered image data as a visible image (1.3) onto the surface of the organ, a limb or any other part of a human body (1).
