CONNECTOR FOR COAXIAL CABLE

A connector for a coaxial cable is provided. The connector includes a connector unit configured to have an installation area and include a cable securing end to secure the coaxial cable in such a manner that an end of the cable is placed in the installation area; an insulating unit configured to be secured in the installation area, have an accommodating area in which an exposed end of a core wire of the cable is placed, and press a top surface of the core wire to cover the core wire for electrical insulation; and a conductor contacting unit in a form of a plate configured to be disposed in the accommodating area, be in close contact with a bottom surface of the core wire, and elastically press a part of the core wire. Accordingly, the core wire between the cover body and the conductor contacting unit is provided with elasticity by an elastic pressure piece on the conductor contacting unit, thereby being secured in contact with the connector body, and an end of the cable is accordingly signally connected and grounded to the connector body. In this case, stripping processes for the cable can be minimized and a shield line and a dielectric as a first insulating substance can be both simultaneously stripped off from the cable, thereby preventing a short defect due to non-removed shield from occurring.
