PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to efficiently check an alarm whether to change a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional image on a display unit. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) includes a time difference generating unit for displaying a three-dimensional image of a stereoscopic type. A control unit(180) determines whether for the three-dimensional image to be outputted through the display unit. The control unit gives visual effect when the three-dimensional image is outputted.
