<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material improved in temporal stability after color development. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal recording material including a recording layer containing a diazo compound, a coupler and a binder on a support, either of the diazo compound and the coupler is internally encapsuled in a microcapsule.
