<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piano tuning pin that can easily perform tuning by stabilizing the pitch of a string by only winding the string around it without any particular treatment given to the string. <P>SOLUTION: A tuning pin 1 of the present invention includes a winding part 1c for winding a string S which has a radially extending string insertion hole 1e for inserting the string S. The winding part 1C is formed with a winding plane 1f extending in a direction to wind the string S, and a corner of the winding plane 1f is positioned in the vicinity of the opening of the string insertion hole 1e. When the string S is stretched by the tuning pin 1, one end part of the string S is inserted into the string insertion hole 1e, and then, the tuning pin 1 is rotated. Thus, the string S is wound along the winging plane 1f, and is bent at an acute angle in the vicinity of the opening of the string insertion hole 1e. As a result, a component of the tension of the string S acts in a direction to push the string S into the string insertion hole 1e, the string is prevented from becoming loose, and its stretched state is well maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
