<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate holding device, capable of preventing an excess load on a connector, with the number of components suppressed to the minimum without degrading workability at assembly. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate holding device 2 includes: a substrate unit 10; a frame portion 6 on which the substrate unit 2 is attached; a flexible shield portion 9 for sandwiching the substrate unit 10 with the frame portion 6; and an exterior case 3 specifying spaces to dispose the substrate unit 10, the frame portion 6 and the shield portion 9. The shield portion 9 includes a first end portion 21, which is a fixed end fixed on the frame portion 6, and a second end portion 22, which is a free end disposed opposite to the first end portion 21. A bending state varies between a first bending state bending to a direction apart from the frame portion 6, with the first end portion 21 acting as a fulcrum, and a second bending state having no bend.
