<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a distribution which has smaller flow strength and is remarkably uneven has caused an aerodynamic loss in a diffuser hitherto. <P>SOLUTION: The ring diffuser (14) for an axial turbomachine such as a gas turbine (10) has an outer wall (44) and an inner wall (48) coaxial thereto, between which a diffuser channel (42) extends in a ring shape along an axial extension from an inflow-side end (52) diverging to an outflow-side end (54), wherein the inner wall (48) and the outer wall (44) each comprise a wall surface (46, 50) bounding the diffuser channel (42). In order to specify the diffuser channel (42) that is tailored to an inflow that is uneven along the circumference and that facilitates a particularly efficient conversion of kinetic energy into static energy, a rotationally asymmetric wall surfaces (44, 46) bounding the diffuser channel (42) on the inlet side is proposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
