An anti-glare film that exhibits excellent anti-glare performance and can suitably prevent surface glare and contrast loss. Said anti-glare film has: a light-transmitting substrate; and a diffusion layer that is formed on at least one surface of the light-transmitting substrate and has a textured surface. The anti-glare film is characterized in that: the aforementioned diffusion layer contains organic microparticles (A), other organic microparticles (B), and a cured binder component; and the amount (CA), mean diameter (RA), and refractive index difference (?A) of the organic microparticles (A) in the diffusion layer and the amount (CB), mean diameter (RB), and refractive index difference (?B) of the other organic microparticles (B) in the diffusion layer satisfy relations (1), (2), and (3), said refractive index differences being differences from the index of refraction of the cured binder component.
