A lenticular touch-sensitive electronic paper display comprises an electronic paper display that uses encapsulated ink particles in pixels 516, which move in accordance with an electronic charge applied to the individual capsules, in combination with a lenticular lens that is mounted on top of the display unit. The lenticular lens 510 may be used to display multiple images simultaneously into different directions. In one embodiment it serves to reduce the viewing angle to one direction, e.g. perpendicular, thus providing privacy and security by preventing bystanders from obtaining information from e.g. and ATM. A preferred version of the lenticular lens uses lenses running both in vertical and horizontal direction, thus restricting the viewing angle in both directions. Preferably the lenticular lens uses grooves 512 at the rear aligned with dead pixels 514 to avoid the information being seen from sharp angles. |
