<p>Particles of salt, pref. fine (0.2-0.8 mm) vacuum salt are agglomerated under pressure but without the addition of an agglomerating agent. The pellets so formed have an apparent specific gravity about 1.95 kg/dm3, and are in the form of a cylinder with convex ends, and with a height 0.1-1.5 times the diameter. The pellets are free from insoluble solids and metallic ions injurious to water softening resins.</p> |
