<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering locking device capable of precluding a unlocking consisting of an undue deed as breaking a housing or disassembling. <P>SOLUTION: The steering locking device is equipped with a rotor 24 having an operation part exposed to outside the housing 10, a cam 37 furnished with a rotation checking part 47, a locking bolt 48 movable from the locking position to prevent a steering shaft from rotating to the unlocking position and vice versa, an engaging member 59 to be engaged with an engagement receptacle part 27 formed on the rotor 24 with possibility of disengagement, an actuator 66 to move the engaging member 59 from the engaging position where the member 59 is engaged with the engagement receptacle part 27 to the non-engagement position, and a checking member 73 movable between the checking position where engagement with the rotation hindering part 47 of the cam 37 is established to check the cam 37 from rotating and the non-checking position, wherein the actuator 66 is equipped with a holding part 72 engaged with the checking member 73 in the mounted condition on the housing 10 to hold the checking member 73 in the non-checking position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
