摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, wherein reflectance in dark display is reduced and a contrast ratio of reflection display can be enhanced and the diffusion property can be also satisfactorily maintained. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a pair of substrates, a liquid crystal layer held between the pair of substrates, a plurality of pixels, and a reflection display part and a transmission display part in each of the plurality of pixels, wherein an alignment state of the liquid crystal layer is homogeneous alignment when no electric field is applied, a plurality of signal wiring lines, a plurality of scanning wiring lines crossing the plurality of signal lines, active elements formed crossing parts of the signal wiring lines and the scanning wiring lines, pixel electrodes, common electrodes and diffusion reflection parts formed in a positions corresponding to the reflection display parts are formed between one substrate of the pair of substrates and the liquid crystal layer, and the diffusion reflection part has a ruggedness formation layer where a recess and a protrusion are formed, the common electrode formed on the recess of the ruggedness formation layer and a reflection layer formed on the protrusion of the ruggedness formation layer and on the common electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
