Patient bed with a complete side rail

The sick-bed has a deformable parallelogram type foldable side rail (30) placed along a longitudinal side of a support frame (19) and formed of tubular bars connected to the frame. The rail extends from a headboard of the bed till an intermediate point of the length of a frame (13) in a straightened position, where the point is situated at a distance from the headboard. A detachable complementary accessory (40) in the form of gripping bars is fixed to the frame (13) such that it extends along remaining part of the bed length between the rail in straightened position and a footboard of the bed.
