The iron aid (3') comprises spring bracket, which has two spring pieces formed in the unstressed using condition in an acute angle to each other. The spring bracket is formed having a spring load. The hose shaped garment is splayed from inside while sliding the spring bracket. The pieces are designed having a zigzag portion (6), such that the pieces lying before the zigzag portion and after the zigzag portion form an obtuse angle to each other. An independent claim is also included for a device for clamping a closed hose shaped garment for thermal smoothing of the garment.
