The invention relates to an image projection system, with a database (2) for storing and retrieving multidimensional data of an object and/or models thereof, a navigation system (4, 4.1, 4.3, 40) for determining positional data reflecting the relative placement of an image projector (3) and the object (1), and a rendering engine (5) for generating rendered image data based on multidimensional data and/or models thereof and positional data, wherein the image projector (3) is arranged to project the rendered image data as a visible image (1.3) onto the surface of the object (1). A refreshing module (6) is arranged for generating a refreshing event, in order to activate the rendering engine(5) and to refresh the rendered image data. |
