[Also in Division F2] A plug-shaped extension 8 of a connector 2, for connecting a pipeline to a plastics element 1, is adapted for insertion into, and attachment to a bore of the plastics element by means of an annular groove 5 formed in the extension 8 to accommodate pins 4 which lie tangentially on the groove 5 and press against the bore to provide axial securing but allowing rotation of the connector 2 in the plastics element. A second annular groove 6 accommodates a sealing ring 7, the plug 8 and the bore of the element being of smaller diameter at the groove 6 than at the groove 5 so that the sealing ring 7 is not damaged during mounting. |
