A container end panel 13 has a removable portion 16 defined by a weakening line 15, e.g. a score, a second weakening line 23 and a lever type pull tab 17 secured to the portion 16 by a rivet 18, so that when the pull tab is raised the weakening line 23 ruptures first to form a vent. The removable panel 16 has a stiffening recessed panel 21 and a second score line 22 adjacent to score line 15 but of lesser depth in order to absorb shock. |
